Supposed to be there at 10 got their at 12:30 set up by 12:40 and rocked until they kicked us out.  Only got to do one verse but you would have thought I was Bruce Springsteen the way these kids went nuts. There were folks in the crowd who had already heard of me which blew my mind since I’ve never been to Roanoke VA before. Went to celebrate Andy’s birthday at his house after the show, got fed well and were told to help ourselves to the variety of beers in the fridge and cooler, I earned my stripes drinking McOllough Scotch from the bottle and ranting about a corporate controlled media. I was bummed that we got there late but felt better once I heard Akil put it in perspective. After our set he said “we got there at just the right time.” Based on the love we got I can’t even argue. We owe Awful Arthur’s a make up show so don’t worry VA we will be back.
